Toronto songwriter Jerry Leger is known for his steady output, and having not released anything new in 2013, he's now set to return with another LP. Early Riser will be out on April 22 through Latent Recordings, and its release will coincide with a heap of tour dates.
The record was produced by Michael Timmins of Cowboy Junkies. It finds Leger joined by his band the Situation — although the album is credited to Leger alone — plus a few other players like organist Jeff Heisholt (Burt Neilson Band, the Trews) and vocalists Tamara Lindeman (a.k.a. the Weather Station) and Ivy Mairi.

Also below, see Leger's upcoming Canadian tour schedule, which will keep him busy for two months from late March to late May. Most of the dates are solo shows, but there are a couple of full-band gigs too.
