Jay Rock has scored an undeniable hit with "King's Dead," which features Future, Kendrick Lamar and James Blake and appears on the Lamar-curated soundtrack to Marvel's Black Panther. With "King's Dead" also set to be a part of Jay Rock's forthcoming solo disc, the booming cut has been given the video treatment.
The video cuts between Lamar, Jay Rock and Future delivering bars from the barber's chair, a Wolf of Wall Street-esque office, and from the highest of heights on top palm trees and skyscrapers. The song's beat switch gives way to a street brawl scene and Lamar delivering his rapid final verse in traffic.
The video was directed by Dave Free of the little homies and Jack Begert. Lamar's Black Panther soundtrack is available digitally and on CD now, and will come to vinyl and cassette later next month; the vinyl is available for pre-order now via Umusic.
