Talib Kweli recently announced a new project called Indie 500 along with Pharoahe Monch and 9th Wonder, but now he's back to focusing on his label Javotti Media, since he has contributed some material to the label's new mixtape, The Cathedral.
The collection features 15 tracks; four of those are credited to Kweli, and he appears as a guest on four more. Other acts who contribute to the mixtape include Big K.R.I.T., Curren$y, Joell Ortiz, Pharoahe Monch, Cory Mo and more. (Some of the big names appear as guests rather than primarily artists.)
The result is a collection of laid back hip-hop, although the tracks credited to RES emphasize soulful singing rather than rapping, and "Dreams" is a piano-based cover of the classic Fleetwood Mac song.
