Just when Japandroids' future couldn't look any brighter, news has come that the Vancouver garage pop duo have inked yet another new record deal. This time our recent cover stars have singed the dotted line with Polyvinyl Records, the Illinois-based label home of such acts as Joan of Arc, Of Montreal and Architecture in Helsinki.
On August 4, Polyvinyl will give Japandroids' Post-Nothing debut a worldwide release on CD and vinyl. As previously reported, the record came out here in Canada on start-up indie Unfamiliar in April. Pre-orders have already began at Polyvinyl's website, and if you're the vinyl-buying type, you can pick a copy up on either white or black wax.
After going through some serious medical setbacks, the band will finally kick-start their North American tour next week at Vancouver's Music Waste Festival.
