It's been a while since we heard from fuzzed-out Vancouver duo Japandroids, but the dudes will once again be a melodic force to be dealt with when they hit the road for a lengthy late summer tour. Though they haven't released any new material since the "Heavenward Grand Prix" single, the third of a proposed five seven-inches to tide fans over before they follow up 2009's Post-Nothing, here's hoping the boys bring some new tunes to the North American tour, which kicks off with a hometown gig on August 27.
From there, the troupe will make several Canadian stops, including in such cities as Toronto, Montreal, Edmonton and Halifax. The band will be bringing fellow two-piece pop rockers Bass Drum of Death along for most of the trip, which also includes a pile of U.S. stops. If they share equipment, they could probably just all hop in a hatchback. Think green, fellas. Think green.
