The trek was set to kick off mid-April

As a measure of social distancing, James Taylor and Bonnie Raitt have announced a postponement of their upcoming Canadian spring tour.

Their joint trek was set to kick off on April 14 in Victoria, hitting 11 more Canadian cities before wrapping up in St. John's. Unfortunately, the pair have made the decision to postpone the tour in the wake of growing coronavirus concerns. So far, it does appear they are keeping their June performance in Boston scheduled as planned.

"I've had so many messages urging me to announce a decision regarding our upcoming Canadian tour," Taylor wrote of the postponement in a statement. "We were so looking forward to the tour, it breaks my heart to call it off. But that's what we must do."

So far, neither artist has posted plans for the rescheduled tour dates, but assure that new dates "will be communicated as soon as possible."

See Taylor's full message below, and the postponed tour dates below that.
