Many are interpreting the post as a hint that Lamar's fourth album could be on the way. His last release, untitled unmastered., arrived unexpectedly last March, following up the rapper's wildly successful 2015 LP, To Pimp a Butterfly.

In a recent interview with T Magazine, Lamar spoke about the inspiration behind his upcoming album and feeling he wants it to evoke. Using the analogy of his future daughter, Lamar explained: "She's gonna grow up. She's gonna be a child I adore, I'm gonna always love her, but she's gonna reach that one point where she's gonna start experiencing things. And she's gonna say things or do things that you may not condone, but it's the reality of it and you know she was always gonna get to that place. And it's disturbing. But you have to accept it. You have to accept it and you have to have your own solutions to figure out how to handle the action and take action for it… Learning to accept it, and not run away from it, that's how I want this album to feel."

He also described the LP as "very urgent," and noted that while To Pimp a Butterfly addressed problems with politics and government, his latest offering finds him re-grounding himself in his own community and God.

No details have been confirmed about Lamar's latest album, but if Instagram is any indication, the rapper is definitely up to something.

Also of note, Lamar is slated to headline Coachella next month in Indio, CA. Stay tuned for updates to find out if festivalgoers (and the rest of the world) will be getting new music before the big show.
