Irish Stepdancer Stagecrashes PinkPantheress Set at Camp Flog Gnaw

"He ate that, though"

It's been a big year for PinkPantheress, who recently turned her bite-sized TikTok ditties into more fully formed pop songs on her full-length debut album Heaven knows. Fresh off the release, the artist born Victoria Beverly Walker performed at Tyler, the Creator's Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles over the weekend — and a stagecrasher couldn't bear to let her continue having her moment without stealing the spotlight for a little jig.

While PinkPantheress was performing "Angel" from the Barbie movie soundtrack for the first time ever, an audience member made their way onto the stage to join the performance during the track's fun fiddle breakdown. (It's not quite as good as the high-bar bagpipe one on Caroline Polachek's "Blood and Butter," but it's still pretty sick!) The fan took the opportunity to do what they deemed the song demanded: Irish stepdancing.

Like the throwing-things-at-performers trend, stagecrashing is certainly an issue; people pay good money to see their favourite artists, and it's really weird to make the communal concert experience about yourself, not to mention threatening the performance and everyone's safety. However, fans rushing the stage is admittedly rarely as much of a delightful as this person's fancy footwork.

Even PinkPantheress seemed impressed (albeit surprised, telling the audience that her onstage visitor was definitely not planned) — saying, "He ate that, though." As someone who has taken an Irish stepdancing class, it is not as easy as they make it look.
