No, it's not just capitalism — Valentine's Day really is just around the corner, and that means we're inching closer toward the release of Caroline Polachek's Desire, I Want to Turn into You. Today, avant-pop's high priestess has revealed the album's tracklist and shared succulent latest cut, "Blood and Butter."
In addition to this new single and previous releases "Welcome to My Island," "Sunset," "Billions" (one of Exclaim!'s best songs of 2022) and "Bunny is a Rider" (which made our best of 2021 list), the 12-track follow-up to 2019's Pang also features "Fly to You," a collaboration with both Grimes and Dido.
"Blood and Butter" was co-produced by Polachek and right-hand man Danny L Harle. It also sees a bagpipe performance from Brìghde Chaimbeul.
