The Book Of Lambs

BY Greg PrattPublished Dec 1, 2002

Talk about a Satanic drum fest here; this debut album from Internecine features Hate Eternal/Council Of The Fallen drum wizard Derek "One Take" Roddy on two cuts and current Nile skin basher Tony Laureano on the remainder. These drums sound great too, with no computer aided keyboard piddling. This is Jared Anderson's baby though, he of Hate Eternal, and Anderson knows what he's doing with extreme death metal; The Book Of Lambs is as good as the new release from Hate Eternal, which is very good, albeit destined to be more obscure (that cover art isn't helping). Although it may be easy to dismiss this as cookie cutter/monster Floridian death, no one can deny the sheer power and devastation these guys have harnessed.
