Transferring a classic piece of movie music from one electronic music genius's hands to another, Scottish beatmaker Hudson Mohawke has offered up his take on John Carpenter's theme to Escape from New York. The newly loosened cover is streaming now.
HudMo's take on the Snake-scoring theme is a little more juiced up than the original. While Carpenter's version featured a tambourine backing the whirl of triumphant synths, Hudson Mohawke chooses to blanket us with a blast of in-the-red keyboards and what sounds like the crackle of a full-city blaze.
