"Little Man" on Exclaim! TV

BY Hannah ZieglerPublished Jul 26, 2016

Ask HSY: punk rock is most certainly not dead. The sludge-punk outfit formed in Toronto by the mononymous Jude five years ago already have an EP, full-length album and a collection of music videos under their belt, with no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Their blend of noise rock and gritty, late '80s punk is reminiscent of the Melvins and early Nirvana, making for a delightfully loud and raucous sound, whose accompanying blunt lyrics beg to be screamed along with.

Case in point: the track the noisemakers performed for this episode of Exclaim! TV. Turning Toronto's dimly lit Rehearsal Factory into a punk sanctuary, the band's performance of "Little Man" exhibits their penchant for quick, blistering songs, with Jude singing over distorted guitar and notably cymbal-less percussion by drummer Kat.
