Hot Chip Cover Bruce Springsteen for 'Dancing in the Dark' EP

Hot Chip posed the question Why Make Sense? on their latest LP, which arrived earlier this year. Now, the dancefloor-friendly troupe will return with a new EP entitled Dancing in the Dark that's due out on October 23 via Domino. And yes, that title is a reference to the Boss.

For the new EP, the group covered the classic Bruce Springsteen song, which has been part of their live set recently. It was recorded at RAK Studios in London with all seven members of Hot Chip's touring band, including drummer Sarah Jones and multi-instrumentalist Rob Smoughton.

In addition to the title track, the four-song set also includes a reworked version of "Cry for You" from Why Make Sense? and a couple of remixes of "Huarache Lights." You can see the full tracklisting below.

Beyond that, watch the new video for "Dancing in the Dark," which was directed by Kieran Evans. It features some pretty terrible '80s-style television clips, as well as live footage from the band's recent show at Webster Hall in New York. The performance clips feature cameos from David Byrne and Sinkane, who joined the group on stage for the ridiculously fun cover.
