We first got word of Danny Boyle's new Sex Pistols series, Pistol, at the beginning of the year, and now the first images of the FX special have been revealed.

Pistol will star Thomas-Brodie Sangster as Sex Pistols manager Malcolm McLaren, Tallulah Riley as Vivienne Westwood, Christian Lees as Sex Pistols bassist Glen Matlock, Iris Law as Soo Catwoman, Toby Wallace as Steve Jones, Anson Boon as Johnny Rotten, Louis Partridge as Sid Vicious and Jacob Slater as Paul Cook.

As previously reported, Boyle is on board to direct and executive produce. Pistol is based on Steve Jones' 2018 memoir Lonely Boy: Tales from a Sex Pistol.

The six-episode limited series will also star Game of Thrones' Maisie Williams, Dylan Llewellyn and Sydney Chandler, as well as Emma Appleton as Nancy Spungen.

"Imagine breaking into the world of The Crown and Downton Abbey with your mates and screaming your songs and your fury at all they represent," Boyle previously said in a press release. "This is the moment that British society and culture changed forever. It is the detonation point for British street culture… where ordinary young people had the stage and vented their fury and their fashion… and everyone had to watch & listen… and everyone feared them or followed them. The Sex Pistols. At its centre was a young charming illiterate kleptomaniac — a hero for the times — Steve Jones, who became in his own words, the 94th greatest guitarist of all time. This is how he got there."
