Whitney Houston is the subject of forthcoming biopic I Wanna Dance with Somebody, and we now have our first trailer for the Kasi Lemmons-directed feature.
The new tease, which you can watch below, features the moment Houston's talent was discovered by record exec Clive Davis. The two are played by Naomi Ackie and Stanley Tucci, respectively.
I Wanna Dance with Somebody arrives in theatres on December 21. The film was initially to be directed by Canadian filmmaker Stella Meghie, though she would leave the project in September 2021 reportedly due to creative differences.
Houston was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2020, eight years after her passing in 2012.
