Having formed the project back in 2012, Halifax quartet Heaven for Real are ready to lift the curtain on their debut album after continuously fine-tuning their songwriting for the better part of two years. Titled Kill Your Memory, the record arrives this summer through Vancouver's Mint Records this summer.
Recorded at Echo Chamber Audio and home studios in their native Halifax, Kill Your Memory is said to marry "poetic lyrical narratives with a special blend of experimental rock n' roll." Twin songwriters Mark and Scott Grundy (Quaker Parents/Monomyth), Cheryl Hann (Old and Weird/Picnicface) and Nathan Doucet (Crosss) blend "the adventurousness of jazz and nervous post-punk energy with ornamental touches of tape collage and electronics" over the course of 11 tracks.
Along with the album announcement, the band have mapped out a tour through North America this summer. You can find the itinerary for the "Enduring Flashback" tour below, complete with Canadian shows in Halifax, Fredericton, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Edmonton, Calgary, Victoria and Nanaimo.
