Published Oct 26, 2018Not everyone was in love with Neil Young's electronic experiments on 1982's Trans, but the vocoder-laden record has become something of a cult classic in the Canadian icon's vast catalogue. Now, Trentemøller has offered up his own interpretation of album track "Transformer Man."
The producer's cover version is much darker in comparison to Young's '80s electronics. En lieu of a constant vocoder, Trentemøller included vocals from Marie Fisker. You can compare both the cover and Young's original version in the players below.
Trentemøller's "Transformer Man" cover is set to appear on his new mix album, Harbour Boat Trips Vol. 02: Copenhagen, which arrives November 30 through HFN.
Young recently announced a new live album titled Songs for Judy.
