Hear Saskatchewan Artists Cover Each Other on CJTR's 'Got It Covered' Comp

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Oct 24, 2016

Saskatchewan is celebrating its homegrown talent on a new covers compilation dubbed Got It Covered: Saskatchewan Musicians Cover Each Other's Music, and you can get an early listen to the whole thing right here at Exclaim!

The project is a collaboration between community radio station 91.3FM CJTR and Sawchyn Guitars Ltd., and it brings together songs by artists like Andy Shauf, Rah Rah and Zachary Lucky, getting covered by artists like Jon Neher, Ryan Hicks and Belle Plaine with Blake Berglund. Snake River, DGS Samurai Champs and many others also make contributions.

The compilation comes in support of Regina's CJTR, which is celebrating its 15th year. As the station states, "Got It Covered's existence is an indication of the importance the community radio station has among Regina's diverse music community."

The comp will get an official release party on October 27 at Regina's Capitol, where musicians from the release will be in attendance to meet and greet supporters and to explain their cover song choices.

Right now, though, you can check out a full stream of the album in the player below.
