Neil Young is set to deliver his long-lost Hitchhiker LP next month, and just over a week before it arrives, you can hear the entire thing now through NPR.
As previously reported, Hitchhiker was originally recorded in 1976 with producer David Briggs, over the span of one day in Malibu, capturing the sounds of just Young's voice and a guitar.
Many of the songs recorded during the session would go on to be featured on other Young albums. "Powderfinger" became a standout on 1979's Rust Never Sleeps, while "Captain Kennedy" resurfaced in 1980 on Hawks & Doves.
Hitchhiker also features previously unreleased tracks, as well, though; "Hawaii" and "Give Me Strength" appear on the album in recorded form for the first time.
Hear each track in the players below. Hitchhiker officially arrives September 8 through Reprise.
