After teasing the new covers album California Son late last year, Morrissey has fully detailed his new studio effort, as well as revealed his version of Roy Orbison's "It's Over."
We already knew that the upcoming album would feature new takes on tracks by Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Buffy Sainte-Marie and Carly Simon, but now Moz has announced some of the special guests that appear on the Joe Chiccarelli-produced record.
Grizzly Bear's Ed Droste collaborated on opener "Morning Starship" (originally by Jobriath), while Ariel Engel of Broken Social Scene and La Force helped out on Morrissey's rendition of Joni Mitchell's "Don't Interrupt the Sorrow."
Elsewhere, we hear Petra Haden, Sameer Gadhia, Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong and Lydia Night.
