At long last, Lauryn Hill is hitting us with some new material. It's a song called "Guarding the Gates," and it appears on the newly released soundtrack for director Melina Matsoukas's film Queen & Slim.

Queen & Slim stars Daniel Kaluuya and Jodie Turner-Smith as a couple on the run after an altercation with a police officer turns violent. Sturgill Simpson, Chloë Sevigny and Flea are also featured in the film.
The score for the film was composed by Blood Orange mastermind Dev Hynes.
