Chilly Gonzales is back with another taste of his upcoming album Solo Piano III. For our latest tease, we've got the new song "Chico," which has been dedicated to none other than over-the-top U.S. comedian Eric Andre.
As a press release explains, "Chico" actually gets its name from Chico Marx, with Gonzales viewing Andre as the modern equivalent of the old-timey comedian.
In a statement, Gonzales said, "To see Chico Marx play the piano and blow the mind of his audience while creating such a playful yet sophisticated, but silly childlike experience really stood out in contrast to the pretty stiff atmosphere of my music lessons. I credit Chico Marx with showing me that the piano could be used as a tool of righteous entertainment."
