Arcade Fire are nearly ready to release their latest LP Everything Now, but they took a break from sharing new material of their own to pay homage to another pop sensation.
Appearing as guests on BBC Radio 1's "Live Lounge" segment, the Canadian indie rock troupe delivered a cover version of Lorde's Melodrama smash "Green Light."
UPDATE (7/13, 12 p.m. EDT): Arcade Fire have now also shared the new song "Electric Blue, and you can hear it over here.
The band brought a full-blown youth choir with them for the radio appearance and prefaced the Lorde cover with a rendition of their own "Everything Now."
You can listen to the full audio performance over here. Arcade Fire appear at the 2:04:00 mark. Video snippets of their live takes on "Everything Now" and "Green Light" can be watched below.
Everything Now is officially out on July 28 via Columbia.
