Following up on last year's star-studded lineup, the Greenbelt Harvest Picnic has announced its list of performers for the Dundas, ON festival's 2014 incarnation, with critically acclaimed folkie Ray LaMontagne taking top bill.
The one-day festival, which will once again be taking place at the Christie Lake Conversation Area, happens on August 23 and will feature performances from Daniel Lanois (who happened to grow up in the region), Bruce Cockburn, Boris Brott, Los Lobos, Sarah Harmer, Ron Sexsmith, and Gord Downie, the Sadies, and the Conquering Sun, as well as a number of others performers set to be announced in the coming weeks.
Outside of the scheduled musical acts, organizers say the festival is meant to raise awareness "for all the healthy local foods Ontario farmers provide. "
Tickets will be available online at Ticketmaster.ca on May 10 beginning at 10 a.m. local time, with early bird prices staying in effect until May 24.
