Gorillaz have been teasing new material with an elaborately drawn-out campaign that included detailed backstories for each member of the virtual band and killer playlists celebrating other artists — but the long wait is finally over.
The group have returned with their first new single in six years, and you can listen to it right now.
It's titled "Hallelujah Money," and it hears the Damon Albarn-led project enlisting the guest work of Benjamin Clementine.

Gorillaz still haven't outlined details for their impending full-length album, but shared the new song as a pre-inauguration pick-me-up, unleashing it into the world with the following message:
Dark times — u need someone to look up to. Me. Here's a lightning bolt of truth in a black night. Now piss on! New stuff won't write itself.
