Ghost Launch Their Own "Papastrello" Wine

BY Calum SlingerlandPublished Apr 5, 2016

While it's common for bands entering the business of food and drink to brew their own beer, Sweden's ghoulish metal outfit Ghost are bucking the trend by launching their own wine.

Named "Papastrello," the Italian red wine is described as "powerful but well-balanced," containing "perfumes of fruits and cacao." It is said to pair perfectly with roast red meat, game and aged cheeses, but stands well on its own.

"They say that this wine is the blood of Christ? I would argue otherwise,"  the band's Papa Emeritus III said in a statement. "It's fermented grapes. That's all. Very nice fermented grapes… but fruit nonetheless."

So far, Papastrello is only available for purchase in the band's native Sweden. Read through information on the wine below.
