It's been a few months since we heard anything from Arts & Crafts' Gentleman Reg, but it turns out he's been pretty busy. Not only has he recorded a brand new six-song EP, but he's also about to launch a lengthy headlining tour that will take him to most major cities across North America.
The EP is titled Heavy Head and will be released in four parts. The songs will first come out digitally in categorized pairs: "Covers," out November 10, will feature studio cover songs of Chris Isaak's "Wicked Games" and Stevie Nicks's "Wild Heart"; "B-Sides," out November 17, will feature the unreleased tracks "Justified (ft. Owen Pallett)" and "Take It All Back"; and "Remixes," which gets released on November 24, will feature Jim Guthrie's remix of "How We Exit" and "We're In a Thunderstorm (Charlie Don't Surf Remix)," a track chosen as the best remix of the song in Reg's recent remix contest. The EP will then be released as a six-song whole on December 1.
Gentleman Reg show attendees can pick up the EP in advance as a limited-edition download card complete with cover art at any of the stops along Reg's tour, which starts October 29 in Ottawa and circles the United States before ending in Toronto on December 5. The Hidden Cameras will support.
