While it was Drake that rapped "We got that purple rain for the pain" on "Scholarships," it's his What a Time to Be Alive partner Future who is about to take off on the "Purple Reign" tour. Ahead of the dates, he's just dropped off a complementary mixtape titled Purple Reign.
Though Future issued the collaborative What a Time to Be Alive and his DS2 LP in the back half on 2015, Purple Reign marks the AutoTune rap champ's first freelease since last spring's 56 Nights.
Purple Reign was executive produced by longtime collaborators Metro Boomin' and DJ Esco, and also features beats from the likes of Zaytoven and Southside. You can stream or download the full 13-song Future event, which doesn't list any guest verses, down below.
Future's "Purple Reign" tour with Ty Dolla $ign begins in the middle of February. The trip concentrates on the U.S., and will not make it into Canada. All the same, you'll find the itinerary below, along with the new mixtape.
