As if they weren't busy enough, Toronto, ON hardcore sextet Fucked Up continue to pull weird tricks out of their butts. This week's viral Fucked Up antic is a "cover" of Katrina and the Waves' saccharine summer hit "Walking on Sunshine." Less of a cover, the song is more of a mash-up, as melodic saxophones combine with the backing track for FU's "Crooked Head."
According to the questionable write-up on the band's blog, the track was recorded in a Las Vegas studio, and earned the band $1,000, which they had to pay in royalties to the Waves. To us, it sounds more like the band were dicking around in ProTools at 4 a.m. Hear for yourself here.
