One week after announcing he had canned the project, French Montana's MC4 has appeared on iTunes to be purchased.
Having been initially pegged for release today (October 14) upon its initial announcement, the road to MC4's release has been a rocky one. Excuses for the push-backs range from sample clearance issues to Epic Records wanting "a real moment of monster success" for the rapper. Certain stores even had the physical CD out on the shelves for sale prior to the news.
"Songs like 'I'm Heated' and 'Two Times" couldn't be cleared," French recently told Complex. "By the time I got the mix how I recorded it, it wasn't the same. I just ain't have the same feeling for it. Everybody had to replay shit, and do all this extra shit, so I wasn't in the mood to put it together."
While he did say that "all the music going to come out...just packaged differently," we're not sure if this is what French had in mind. Representatives for the rapper and Epic Records have yet to comment.
In the meantime, you can stream MC4 in the player below.
