Franz Ferdinand recently announced they had a new LP titled Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action on the way, and now the Scottish dance-rock troupe have revealed their next, well, right action: they're heading out on tour this fall.

The band's North American show schedule behind the set starts up in October down in Houston, TX. While the bulk of the dates take place down in the U.S., they'll cap the trip with a pair of Canadian dates in Montreal and Toronto. You can analyze the itinerary down below.

As previously reported, Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action arrives August 27 via Domino. It follows 2009's Tonight and was recorded over the past year at various places, including at Alex Kapranos' studio in Scotland, Nick McCarthy's Sausage Studios and Club Ralph Recording Studio in London, as well as in Stockholm and Oslo.

If you're aching to hear some fresh material ahead of the LP's summer street date, the band have released a trailer for the set titled "A Weekend in Glasgow," which shows the band tackling new tune "Bullet" in the studio. You can check it out beneath the dates.
