Franz Ferdinand Reveal 'Always Ascending' LP, Share Title Track

The Scottish group will also play Canada on a world tour

Franz Ferdinand will release a new album titled Always Ascending early next year. It's due out on February 9 via Domino.

The new LP marks the band's follow-up to 2013's Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Actions, and their first since revising the group's lineup. Last year, the Scottish indie rockers announced the departure of founding member Nick McCarthy; Julian Corrie and Dino Bardot have since joined the band on keyboards and guitar, respectively.

The 10 new tracks on Always Ascending were recorded between RAK Studios in London and Motorbass in Paris with the help of producer Philippe Zdar (Phoenix, Cassius, Beastie Boys). According to frontman Alex Kapranos, Franz Ferdinand's latest full-length offering sounds "simultaneously futuristic and naturalistic."

The first listen to the upcoming record has been revealed with the release of its title track. Scroll past the full LP tracklisting to stream "Always Ascending" below.

The band will also embark on a world tour later this year, including Canadian stops in Vancouver and Toronto. See the full list of upcoming shows below, as well.
