Frank Ocean's 'Blonde' and 'Endless' Apparently Won't Be Eligible for Grammys

This year, Frank Ocean made some serious waves with his albums Blonde and Endless. Come Grammy time, however, don't expect either to fetch any awards.

Apparently, neither album was submitted to the Grammys for consideration, Billboard reports, despite both coming out well before the 2017 Grammy eligibility cutoff date of September 30. As such, neither will seemingly be able to pick up a Grammy.

A Grammy rep confirmed the news to Billboard, while no one from Ocean's camp has publicly addressed the situation. It's unclear at this point if the albums were purposely not submitted or if it was some sort of oversight.

UPDATE (10/18, 2 p.m. EDT): A source now tells Billboard that Ocean and his camp intentionally did not submit the albums for Grammy consideration.

As previously reported, Blonde was self-released, while Endless marked Ocean's final album for Universal imprint Def Jam.

We can't help but wonder how Chance the Rapper feels about all this.
