A new Southern Ontario-based rock, roots, bluegrass and world music festival called Four Winds has announced its inaugural lineup. The event will take place at the Riverstone Retreat outside of the Town of Durham from July 14 to 16.
The fest will be headlined by Sarah Harmer, Elliott BROOD, Danny Michel, Julian Taylor, Alysha Brilla and Mountain Head. Donné Roberts, Matt Epp, Matt Weidinger, Henry Taylor, Ontarians, Graven, Queen M, Miranda Journey, Jolie Smith, Saikou Saho and more are also slated to perform.
"We're thrilled to be producing our inaugural festival, Four Winds Music Fest," said festival co-producer/Collingwood-based singer-songwriter and producer Craig Smith in a statement. "We've put together an amazing lineup of artists that we know our attendees will love, and we can't wait to see everyone come together for a weekend of great music and good vibes."
The event is presented by the Happiness Mafia (Smith's new company with business partner Ariana Dalie) in partnership with Elephant Thoughts, a non-profit organization "dedicated to reducing poverty, promoting equality, and creating opportunities for children and youth facing obstacles through educational outreach and opportunities."
Dalie shared, "Elephant Thoughts is very dear to our hearts, and we're grateful to be partnering with such a great non-profit organization that focuses on helping children and youth at risk through educational outreach."
Three-, two- and single-day passes are available via the festival's official website. Each includes access to performances and activities, including yoga, drumming, garden tours, Somalian cooking classes, African dance classes and more. Multi-day passes also include free camping and parking.
Vendor, sponsor and volunteer applications are now open.
