Fan Charged After Storming Stage at JAY-Z and Beyoncé's Atlanta Show

It takes a lot to steal the spotlight from JAY-Z and Beyoncé, but that's exactly what one fan in Atlanta tried to do in Atlanta on Saturday night (August 25).

Towards the end of the Carters' set at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, a man from the crowd got onstage and rushed towards Jay and Bey. Backup dancers and security quickly got in formation, protecting the couple from the mystery man, though he did make contact with JAY-Z.

The stage invader has since been identified as Anthony Charles Thomas Maxwell, and he was initially given a citation for disorderly conduct and released, though police have now added a charge of simple battery.

Maxwell was treated for minor injuries, but no one else was injured during the incident. Beyoncé's spokeswoman Yvette Noel-Schure said both Beyoncé and JAY-Z are "fine and looking forward to the show tomorrow."
