The Famines Announce Canadian Tour

BY Josiah HughesPublished Oct 8, 2012

Edmonton/Montreal garage punk duo the Famines compiled their
complete singles last year, and while they haven't released anything since, they will be heading out on a batch of Canadian tour dates later this month.

The run of shows includes stops throughout Ontario, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Quebec. Then, in November, the group will return to Alberta for a pair of shows in Calgary and Edmonton. The full itinerary is available below.

While they haven't prepared a new album, that doesn't mean fans have to remain empty handed. In November, frontman Raymond Biesinger will dig into his accomplished portfolio as an illustrator to release a new book. Spanning 2002 to 2012, and including a chapter on the Famines, it will surely be a must-have for fans of his distinct black-and-white style.

Stay tuned for more info on that release as it becomes available.
