Without question the best kept secret of Kingston, ON, melodic post-punk trio False Face, have been working hard at perfecting their craft for years. The group, which feature PS I Love You's Paul Saulnier on drums, have just released a three-song cassette single, which they're also streaming via their Bandcamp page.
Combining the heady guitar experimentation of Sonic Youth with Fugazi's rhythmic stomp and shouted vocals, False Face continue to blow hair back with dense sonics, but buried underneath it all is a knack for songwriting that will have listeners coming back for repeat listens.
