Fake Shark Real Zombie got extra weird earlier this year when they dropped their pop-and-rap-laced Liar LP, and now the group have juiced up the album's "Paint It Gold" with a guests-loaded remix.
While the remix gets stripped of Kevvy Mental's sung verses, the newly tweaked version of the track still delivers a slick bed of radio-friendly beats and Mental's wistful, future-fearing hook. Vancouver rapper Anami Vice, for whom Mental acts as an in-concert hypeman/guitarist, also adds a Marshall stack-referencing verse, while Down with Webster's Pat Gillett and Marianas Trench's Matt Webb deliver extra sonic flourishes.
