Ex-Blood Brothers & Pretty Girls Make Graves Give Matador Jaguar Love

Fans devastated by the disintegration of the Blood Brothers and demise of Pretty Girls Make Graves now have Jaguar Love to fill their exuberant post-punk void. Johnny Whitney (vocals, piano) and Cody Votolato (guitar, bass) of the defunct Blood Brothers have teamed up with former Pretty Girls Make Graves noisemaker J Clark (Drums) to form Jaguar Love. The trio are already racking up an impressive fan base, having been invited out on the road by Queens of the Stone Age last summer and now inking a long-term worldwide deal with Matador Records.

This will be the second Matador signing to feature an ex-PGMG member; the label released the debut album by Derek Fudesco’s new band, the Cave Singers last September.

Jaguar Love are currently recording and their full-length debut (produced by Clark) may be ready by summertime. No specifics have been announced yet on when audiences can get a live taste of Jaguar Love, but according to the band’s MySpace page, which features two new tracks to hear, March 14 will commence "Endless Amounts of Touring” set to kick off in "Everywhereopolis.” Let’s hope "Everywhereopolis” extends into Canadian soil.
