Ethan Kath Denies Alice Glass' Abuse Allegations, Cancels Crystal Castles' Tour Dates

"Her story is pure fiction and I am consulting my lawyers as to my legal options"

Earlier today (October 24), Alice Glass brought up serious allegations against her former Crystal Castles bandmate Ethan Kath, accusing him of years of mental, physical, emotional and sexual abuse. Kath has now responded and denied the claims, as well as cancelled all Crystal Castles' upcoming tour dates.

As previously reported, Glass alleged in an open letter posted on her website today that she was subjected to "almost a decade of abuse, manipulation and psychological control" by Kath, who she also has accused of rape.

In a statement to Pitchfork, Kath has now responded to Glass' claims. In a statement through his lawyers, he writes, "I am outraged and hurt by the recent statements made by Alice about me and our prior relationship. Her story is pure fiction and I am consulting my lawyers as to my legal options. Fortunately, there are many witnesses who can and will confirm that I was never abusive to Alice."

As Consequence of Sound points out, Crystal Castles have now also reportedly cancelled all their upcoming tour dates, including those in Canada. This includes the duo's show tonight in Santa Ana, CA.
