Brian Wilson, FVDED in the Park and the Sasktel Saskatchewan Jazz Festival Lead This Week's Can't Miss Concerts By: Lisa Vanderwyk Though summer has only just arrived, some of the season's biggest festivals have already come and gone; if you've yet to get your fill of music, sunshine and overpriced beer, there are still some Can't Miss Concerts happening from July 2 to 8. Brian Wilson

Beach Boys captain Brian Wilson has set sail on a North American tour. Previous setlists from this tour suggest that he will be playing classics like "I Get Around," "God Only Knows," "Good Vibrations," "Fun, Fun, Fun," "Surfin' U.S.A." and other Beach Boys tunes that made enormous waves in the past. He will also perform selections from his solo collection, including this year's No Pier Pressure. This showcase of surf rock is the perfect destination for a summer night, so be sure to catch Brian Wilson when he docks in Toronto on July 4.

Elliott Brood

Toronto's Elliott Brood are bringing their signature "death country" sound to Calgary this week. Although they are a three-piece, they bring a cavalcade of noise; frontman Mark Sasso alone holds down the vocals, guitar, ukulele, harmonica and kazoo, while the rest of the band follows his lead with their own slew of instruments. If you're in the area, come see these country rockers spitting out hits at the Wild Saloon.

FVDED in the Park

Get FVDED in the Park in British Columbia at this two-day escape, which takes place in Surrey's scenic Holland Park and features a slew of party-starting artists like deadmau5, the Weeknd, Afrojack, Tyler, the Creator, the Chainsmokers, Boregore, Danny Brown, Ty Dolla $ign and Tommy Kruise are among the performers turning up for the event. In addition to the music, the festival has installations and interactive elements, so come out and play in the park.

Sudbury will witness the Northern Lights Festival Boréal this week, where Dan Mangan + Blacksmith, Sarah Harmer, Lee Harvey Osmond, the Melbourne Ska Orchestra and Five Alarm Funk will be among the stars lighting up the stage. The event provides a relaxing getaway for people of all ages — including children — so bring your family along for the spectacle.

Sasktel Saskatchewan Jazz Festival

As the ten-day Sasktel Saskatchewan Jazz Festival extends into another week, thousands of fans continue to take in the sights and sounds filling the city. Hundreds of artists are also yet to perform, eager to entertain the masses with jazz, pop, funk, soul, blues and world music. Among these musicians are the Lost Keys, the Whiskey Jerks, Steve Hill, the Blue Mules, Absofunkinlutely, Lights, the Sunset Kids, Dear Rouge, We Were Lovers and many more. Don't miss the final days of celebrating music at this legendary festival.

06/25-07/05/2015 Saskatoon, SK – Multiple Venues

Tanlines

New York synth-based indie rockers Tanlines will headline Vancouver's Electric Owl this week. The electronic duo will be blasting beats like "Pieces," "Slipping Away" and "Bad Situations" in support of their 2015 release, Highlights. They will also resurrect compositions from previous releases to please their superfans. If you're in the city, come out to see Tanlines in their synth-y, retro-glazed glory.
