The National's frontman Matt Berninger and Menomena's Brent Knopf recently revealed their new collaborative project by the name of EL VY, and they've offered up another track from the group's forthcoming debut Return to the Moon.
"Paul Is Alive" follows previously shared cuts "Return to the Moon" and "I'm the Man to Be" and arrives with a lyric video. The words appear rather subtly across the bottom of the screen, as the accompanying footage shows Berninger and pals gathered in a backyard over laptops and snacks, a struggle with some EL VY-themed helium balloons, a nighttime trip to the beach and bits of onstage performance.
The clip was directed by Berninger's younger brother Tom, who directed the National documentary Mistaken for Strangers. Give it a watch in the player below.
Return to the Moon lands on this planet October 30 through 4AD.
