Earl Sweatshirt Cancels Live Dates Due to Exhaustion

Earl Sweatshirt has revealed that he's pulling out of a couple upcoming festival appearances, citing physical and mental exhaustion as the cause for the cancellations.

The Odd Future rapper apologized to fans over Twitter earlier today (July 8), explaining that he's currently not in the right frame of mind to put his all into performances. This means that he won't be appearing at Chicago's Pitchfork Festival, as well as next week's Pemberton Music Festival in BC.

He wrote: "Due to lack of self maintenance I had to press eject on the tour. I am physically and mentally at the end of my rope. I weigh a fraction of what I'm supposed to and without synergy between the body and mind there is nothing. no point in performing if it's not the best show I can give every time."

It's unclear at present if Sweatshirt has also pulled out of his previously announced appearance at Los Angeles' Fuck Yeah Fest this August.

On the plus side, the MC said that his time at home will have him working on a follow-up to 2013's Doris. "Now that I am home I can get healthy and get this album out to y'all while it's still fresh," he wrote.
