Montreal retro-popster DVC Refreshments — a.k.a. David Carriere of TOPS and Born at Midnite — is set to deliver his project's debut album Hits Only on November 13 via Arbutus. After releasing lead single "Wasted on the Real Thing" earlier this month, he's dropped a second track, "Wildflower and Me," featuring TOPS bandmate Jane Penny.
Carriere wrote and recorded the cassette's six tracks in 2017, with guest contributions from Penny, Rapport's Maddy Wilde and Hush Pup's Ida Maidstone. The tracks cover a range of soft-pop sounds, with buoyant basslines and smooth synths atop a wash of clean vocals, all of which are featured on the new single.
