Making for a shining ray of sunshine during these dark days, Welsh pop singer Duffy has at long last returned after a years-long hiatus. Duffy has shared the comeback song "Something Beautiful."
The new track comes after the Welsh pop singer revealed a few weeks ago that she was abducted, drugged and raped, leading her to hide from the spotlight during the 2010s.
Making for a bit of an unconventional rollout, however, Duffy shared the with BBC radio personality Jo Whiley, Stereogum points out. To Whiley, Duffy wrote on Instagram, "It's just something for you to play people on radio during these troubling times, if you like the song of course."
She continued: "If it lifts spirits. I don't plan to release it, I just thought a little something might be nice for people if they are at home, on lockdown."
Of course, Whiley did play "Something Beautiful" on BBC Radio 2, and thanks to a radio rip, you can also hear it below.
