Drake's OVO to Host OVO Summit

And OVO Fest 2019 seems to be right around the corner

Drake recently promised Toronto that OVO Fest would indeed be returning. But that's not the only OVO-related event headed our way this year. His OVO brand has teamed up with RBC to host the OVO Summit, which will be open to the Canadian public for the first time.

While we're still unsure when OVO Fest may happen, OVO Summit is taking place on August 2. It's described as "an immersive conference for Canadian creatives and lifestyle entrepreneurs looking to grow their careers, hone their skills and make a lasting impact on the creative economy in Canada."

In a statement, OVO co-founder Oliver El-Khatib had this to say:

Whether you're an athlete, student, artist, or a globally-recognized institution like OVO or RBC, one thing we all have in common is we're always chasing new ideas and information to help us on our path to success. OVO Summit is our chance to curate a relevant educational experience for all the like-minded, driven young Canadians who are passionate about careers in music, sports, arts, and entertainment.

Tickets to the OVO Summit will go on sale June 24, when presumably further details will be revealed.

As for OVO Fest, Drake said the event would be back this year after first teasing the 2019 event last summer. While at Toronto's Nathan Phillips Square as part of Monday's Toronto Raptors NBA Championship parade, he said, "I hope that all these guys will join me this year, 'cause we're bringing OVO Fest back so I hope we can go crazy."

Other than that, though, Drake has said little else about the festival, so stay tuned.
