To celebrate today's (September 24) release of Nothing Was the Same, Drake has unveiled a champagne glass-clinking video for the set's smoothly pumpin' R&B jam "Hold On We're Going Home."
Well, at least it starts that way. Set in a mid-'80s Miami, we first see a toast being shared by Drizzy, A$AP Rocky, duo Majid Jordan and some ladies over some business wheelings and dealings, but the cinematic clip, directed by Bill Pope, quickly ramps up the drama with a kidnapping angle.
Around the 2:30 mark, the single kicks in proper and scores the escapades of Drizzy and his ragtag bunch of mercenaries heading straight into a bullets-blazing gun battle to get back Drake's girl. It's a cheesy but effective pastiche of '80s shoot-em-up movie motifs (mostly a mix of betrayal, explosions, lingerie and synthy sounds), and you can catch the action down below.
