Dimitri From Paris and DJ Rocca's Erodiscotique EP 4 on Gomma is an unwavering addition to their ongoing series, which goes back several years. This fourth instalment spans a number of genres Dim's played with in the past, including the disco and house of his seminal A Night at the Playboy Mansion and the boogie of Nightdubbin'. The jazz-flute-led first cut, "One For Frankie," is all deep chords and bouncy bass, the kind of production that justifies throwbacks and edits. Nothing innovative, sure, but it's a solid effort.

As it turns out, that's a consistent theme on this EP. Did the world need another filtered disco-house track? Probably not, but "Don't You Feel the Same" is a decent one. The percussion-heavy "Zanzibar," meantime, is equally anodyne, if likeable. EP 4 is as good an introduction to Dim's and Rocca's back catalogues as anything, if not a whole lot more.
