How tech-metal gurus the Dillinger Escape Plan will follow up their 2013 effort One of Us Is the Killer remains to be seen, but fans will be able to take a look back at the band's madness this fall via a series of vinyl reissues. The band's first three albums will be back on wax November 27 via Relapse Records/Party Smasher Inc.
The trio of tweaked-up releases land as part of Relapse's ongoing 25th anniversary celebrations. They include the band's 1999 debut full-length Calculating Infinity, 2004's Miss Machine (which was the formal introduction of current vocalist Greg Puciato) and 2007's Ire Works.
Perhaps most excitingly for fans will be Calculating Infinity, which followed the band's mind-blowing, three-song Under the Running Board EP, and continued to flex their precise and polyrhythmic jazz-metal chops. The record was Dillinger Escape Plan's last to feature vocalist Dimitri Minakakis.
While the CD edition of Calculating Infinity was delivered through Relapse, the original vinyl release dropped via Hydra Head and is long out-of-print. A picture disc had been issued by Relapse a few years later, but this is the first time the album has seen a proper vinyl release in over a decade.
Pre-orders for all three releases, along with their various colourways, can be found over here. A sampler of DEP tracks can be found below.
