Did Drake Really Just Postpone That Toronto Show Until 2020?

Drake has been smashing chart records and supervising the construction of his super-mansion, but he still hasn't announced plans to reschedule the postponed Toronto concert from earlier this year — until now.

Ticketmaster and the official Facebook event for the show have both updated the event info, changing the date to August 18, 2020. Yes, a full two years after the Scorpion rapper was initially slated to perform in his hometown.

Bizarrely, though, despite updating the date and time of the event, Ticketmaster still lists the show as "cancelled." A message on the ticket-selling site says that refunds will be available from the point of purchase, and that internet and phone orders will automatically be cancelled and refunded.

Fans on Facebook seem perplexed by the update, with one commenting that he had already been contacted via email and given a refund "weeks ago."

UPDATE (10/24, 3 p.m. EDT): Live Nation has deleted the Facebook event, seemingly confirming that the show has been cancelled (though Ticketmaster still lists a date of "08/18/20" for the show).

Fans were upset enough over the initial postponement, then got really annoyed when Drake postponed for a second time.

Here's hoping Drizzy pays his hometown fans back with an "Aubrey and the Three Migos" performance sooner rather than 2020. Like, before OVO Fest supposedly returns next summer.

Stay tuned for any further updates regarding the postponed concert as they become available.
